First off...you have great drawing skill and paint handling. For me this is the work that really strikes me as your strongest. The placement of the figure, off to the left side gives the sense that there is something coming behind him, a thing or force which the viewer cannot see. The dark murky reds and and greens suggest it may be ominous. The figure is also looking at something that the viewer cannot see. This painting's strength exist in what it suggests, it does not tell us too much. For example: the face is suggested and universal, it is not a portrait, it is a figure that could be any human. The space suggests more than a landscape, possibly a psychological space which lets the viewer respond more, rather than be informed or told how to feel. The way his body dissolves suggests a transient state of life or moment. The overall color pallette serves to unify the figure in the space.
